I studied a few courses which advised me to cold call, send emails, and do other similarly annoying stuff, but I realized none of these things worked

Instead, I decided to trust my intuition and do what felt right - give value first.

Why? Because being desperate and asking people to give you stuff never works, and I’ve never been the desperate type. ;) 

I planned to show the world my expertise and build an authentic, purposeful personal brand that people know, like, and trust. 

This is how the “Think Natalia” blog came to life. 

I loved sharing my knowledge, lessons learned, and f*ck-ups, and over time, I became good at creating content. 

But the clients never came in…

Something was not working. 

See...the problem was I figured out only half of the equation

Although I was creating valuable content, it was falling on deaf ears because I shared it on Facebook, Instagram, or Youtube, where nobody seemed to care. 

People were too busy posting pictures from their last vacation, reading news, or watching a LIVE-stream from an uncle who was doing a hot-dog contest. #Faithinhumanitylost

Everything but learn about Personal Branding and Content Marketing.

This made me think, Is there a special platform for businesses only? 

And this is how I stumbled upon LinkedIn. 

Mind you, this was many years ago, and LinkedIn was still developing as a Social platform, but I could already see the potential. 

A place where businesses go to learn industry-related news, build their personal brands, learn from each other, generate leads, and grow their social network - it sounded perfect to me! 

I updated my LinkedIn profile and started sharing my content. 

And BAM! 

Right after I made a few posts, I was already reaching my audience - my ideal clients!  

Soon business owners were liking and commenting on my posts, then two of my posts went viral, and people from all across the globe started to ask me for advice, quote me and repost my content. 

And the best part? 

People truly perceived me as an expert.

They invited me for interviews, podcasts, events, and a lot of them also became my clients.

Finally, I started getting the money and recognition I deserved! 

And most importantly, I could make a difference with my work!

The rest is history. 

Today, I’m running a 6-figure consulting business where I travel the world and meet the most amazing people every day. 

INC. magazine called me a “LinkedIn Marketing Unicorn,” Forbes invited me to join their Coaches Council (a group of selected few people who excelled in their industry). 

Not only that, today, I am a LinkedIn Learning Author, which means that LinkedIn literally pays me to create online courses for them (#humblebrag); and they even featured me in their #Inittogether campaign in the Middle East. :-)

Why Most People Never Succeed with LinkedIn Marketing

LinkedIn is not like other social media platforms and has a different dynamic. 

This means you need to have a unique approach. 

After coaching thousands of people on how to use LinkedIn to grow their personal brands and businesses, I designed a 5-part blueprint to make LinkedIn work for your business. 

See, when most people say, “just post content and people will come to you,'' they're telling you only half the truth. 

It's the same as if I told you, “to succeed, you need to work hard.” 

Duhhh, everybody knows that! 

The same goes for LinkedIn marketing. 

You need to post content, but it goes beyond that. 

I call it LPF - the “LinkedIn’s Perfect Five” and I teach this blueprint to all of my private clients, which makes them so successful and impactful.

The LinkedIn’s Perfect Five

There are 5 elements, and all of them serve a specific purpose - miss one, and results won’t be as effective.

Let’s go over these, one by one.

1. POSITIONING

This is the most critical and foundational element. 

It determines the whole future of your personal brand, your core message, your beliefs, values, UVP, and the kind of people you’ll work with.

So, it’s crucial to get this step right (otherwise, you will attract the wrong audience, or no one at all because people won’t get you). 

Here are some critical questions I want you to ask yourself: 

  • What is my core message? What do I want to be known for?
  • Who is my perfect audience? Who do I want to attract to my personal brand? 
  • How I want to be perceived in my niche?

These questions are not easy to answer, but with time and proper guidance (more about this later), your positioning and personal brand will become your best weapon to grow your business on LinkedIn.

2. CONTENT

Once you determine your core message and your business identity, it is time to build your audience. 

Creating valuable content is the best way to do it.

But this is when it gets problematic for most people. 

Every time they sit down to create content, they get stuck or anxious. 

They ask themselves questions like...

  • What do I write about? 
  • Do I write an article or record a video?
  • Do I need a special background for the video?
  • ​How long should I talk? 
  • ​What’s the best time to post content? 

I’m a huge believer in the K.I.S.S. method; keep it simple, stupid. 

What I mean is you need to get over your perfectionism and “just” start. 

Now...I’m not going to lie. There are certain content creation strategies that will make your content more engaging and help you attract the best leads to your business. 

I’ll talk about how you can learn about that in a moment. 

But for now, remember...

Listen to your intuition about what is valuable for your audience and create content around it. 

3. CONVERT

You created content. People are reading it. Now what? 

Remember how I said, getting clients in a crucial part of your business? 

This is the part which will help you with that. 

The reason why my business became successful wasn’t just because people listened to me.

I also knew how to convert passive followers into warm leads, into potential customers.

That’s right - I’m talking about inviting people to work with you

PR is the difference between “This person claims to be an expert,” and Wow, this person is an expert.” 

When we see someone who’s been featured in authority media, inspiring podcasts, and as a speaker at leading industry conferences, we can’t help it but treat that person with respect and trust. 

Being a featured author and expert will also help you when it comes to commanding above-the-market prices (higher prices = less crappy clients and more joy in life)
